Sprite Diffuser

I bought our son The Sprite diffuser.for his birthday. Lovely colors and good output. Pleasing design. My son took it apart to try to mute the somewhat irritating beep it made when you changed the setting. He succeeded!

Patchouli

I am just starting to learn about this essential oil...which sometimes is made fun of...being called "Hippie" oil because it was often used to mask the smell of marijuana. But it is a mighty useful plant with its essential oil that is calming, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and actually has a host of other benefits!

Who Is Robert Tisserand?

I found out about Robert Tisserand by reading an article about him in this magazine while waiting in a doctor's office in Santa Barbara, CA. So I took some pictures of the article...

Here is a closer view. He is from London but sometimes comes to the US to give lectures.  He has his own website, of course and  if you are in the neighborhood, you can go to his June 2015 class in London....Pretty deep stuff. I would say he is the definitive expert in essential oils. By the way, when asked, he has said that DoTerra essential oils are very good.

Essential Oil Blend Works Like Synthroid?

Here is the story.
My daughter met a woman recently and they got to talking about their hot flashes ...and found out that, in the past,  each of them had been diagnosed with such low thyroid that they needed synthroid. Our daughter has been on it for about 9 years. The other woman was on it for quite a while, too. My daughter told the woman that lately she is having hot flashes and that she was wondering if the synthroid stopped working. The other woman said the same thing happened to her several months ago.. She is a DoTERRA consultant and so she decided to stop taking the synthroid since it did not seem to do any good anymore...and instead she started using Life Long Vitality Pack(only half of the recommended daily dose) and she made a special blend for her rollerball and would spread this blend on her neck and thyroid region everyday. Her latest trip to the dr. revealed to her that her thyroid function is normal. This is even though she stopped her synthroid.

I did not get the exact formula that she used, but I have heard that this "recipe" is a blend that acts like synthroid:

Put ...10 drops Myrrh
           10 drops Lemongrass
             2 drops Cloves
             2 drops Peppermint


into a 1/3 oz capacity roller ball bottle and add carrier oil to almost the top. Snap the roller ball stopper on top of bottle. Shake. Label and use daily. Apply to neck and thyroid region. I buy my roller balls bottle on amazon...24 for $10.22 at the moment.

Again, please realize this may or may not work for you, but it has worked for some! It is worth a try. I am doing it as a preventative measure...to keep my thryoid healthy.

Here is my set-up. I decided to use fractionated coconut oil. I could have used grapeseed oil or any other good carrier oil.

 I label the top of the bottle and on the side, I used a white sticky label with the ingredients/recipe written on it.
